The award-winning Nature Lab is an indoor/outdoor exhibition celebrating the biodiversity of Los Angeles. As the Project Lead and Experience Design Lead for the digital scope, I worked closely with the museum team to create 7 interactive experiences.
With touch-based games, 3D maps and hand-drawn illustrations, the Nature Lab interactive programs are memorable and effective messaging tools for visitors of all ages.
A playful game invites visitors to investigate and identify types of insects using clues, tools, and high resolution photography. Bug ID received a HOW Interactive Design Award.

3D mapping and hand-drawn illustrations show visitors how invasive species made their way to Los Angeles
Inspired by memories of their own experiences in nature, visitors create an image using digital tools.
An touch-enabled illustration invites visitors to trigger sounds that can be found in a common LA backyard.
This project was completed in-house at Unified Field.
